Professional Laser Projectors

Versatile and cost-efficient

Laser projection stands out as one of the most versatile and cost-efficient display technologies, offering the lowest cost per square metre of image for large scale visualisation. It’s high brightness and maintenance-free, long-life performance make it an attractive option for a wide range of applications including conferencing, higher education, museums, signage, and creative pixel mapping.

Our trusted heritage of quality and performance

With a rich legacy in projection technology, Sharp/NEC stands out among vendors. Our projection technology meets the highest demands of the cinema industry and critical commercial applications, trusted in 24/7 environments where reliability is paramount. As we continue to innovate under the Sharp brand, we maintain the same meticulous, high-performance Japanese design and engineering standards that have earned our customers’ trust for over 35 years.

Resource & cost-saving

The evolution from lamp to laser technology has revitalised the projector market by bringing significant resource and cost-saving benefits alongside impressive performance levels. Achieving up to 25,000 hours of almost maintenance-free operation, combined with 24/7 usage capability, Laser Light Source technology supports long lifecycles for an impressively low Total Cost of Ownership and convincing sustainability.

With no lamp replacement costs, nor any maintenance efforts typically associated with accessing units installed often at ceiling height, laser technology demands little over its long lifetime giving consistently reliable performance. With multiple eco features and power saving functionality, the latest generation of laser projectors are also remarkably energy efficient.

Sealed optical engine

Achieving a completely sealed optical engine and therefore no filter is an outstanding technological innovation delivering enhanced long-life reliability, improved image quality and significant operational savings.

With a filter-free design, there is no requirement to clean or replace filters, further reducing the cost of ownership. A sealed optical engine protects against dust contamination achieving up to IP6X rating for long term picture stability and brilliant colour. What’s more, by placing the cooling fans inside the sealed engine, noise is also significantly reduced.

Super-silent laser projection

Sharp/NEC’s patented sealed light engine incorporates our innovative fan design making it virtually silent in operation. Likened to be as quiet as the ticking of a watch, our super-silent innovation is appreciated in lecture halls and meeting rooms where noise can be intrusive, disrupting concentration and forcing people to raise their voice.

Furthermore, in higher education settings where lecture recording supports student preferences for blended learning, a microphone is typically installed within the projector ceiling mount. Sharp/NEC’s super-silent operation negates any challenges associated with audibility.

Outstanding picture quality

Sharp/NEC's legacy in digital cinema technology drives cutting-edge advancements, achieving movie-quality image performance. These innovations bring state-of-the-art projection capabilities to professional settings, ensuring audiences experience the best possible visual experiences.

Featuring unprecedented White Point performance, pre-calibrated at the factory for the perfect white, 12-bit colour signal processing and wide colour space with high dynamic contrast, audiences experience extraordinarily vivid colour saturation and contrast levels.

Logo-4Kplus

4K UHD resolution delivers crisp, pixel-free images for detail-rich content achieved through native 4K or proprietary pixel shift technology whereby four FHD images combine to project a 4KUHD/4K+ image at 60Hz to the screen.

Logo-RBLaser

Sharp/NEC favours the use of RB laser technology which is highly efficient in producing the most intensely natural tones. The first and only LCD projector featuring RB laser technology, the Sharp A201U, minimises power consumption whilst delivering brilliant, almost DCI-P3 colour performance at high brightness levels.

Versatile installation capabilities

Laser projection offers almost unlimited flexibility in image shape and size, projecting onto any surface, even curved, uneven or obstructed surfaces. Furthermore, it doesn’t require any particularly demanding mounting infrastructure and is very discreet when not in use.

Versatile-Installation-Capabilities-1

Fully compatible with previous generation lamp-based PA Series mechanical lenses, Sharp/NEC customers can easily make the transition to benefit from the latest laser technology, utilising existing resources to save costs and reduce waste. Benefit from advanced installation capabilities including free tilt and portrait, unique geometric correction, picture in picture, tiling, 3D support, and camera-based blending/stacking up to 4K.

Logo-HDBaseT

HDBaseT input simplifies installations with support for audio, video, network and control using a single cable over longer distances compared to HDMI for greater installation capability.

Logo-ASM

Advanced Sequence Management (ASM) eliminates the colour-breaking/rainbow-effect often apparent with DLP projectors. The Sharp P Series models optimise colour wheel sequencing to enhance the viewing experience.

Application areas

The versatility and scalability of laser projection make it well suited for cost-effective visualisation in large venues. For large classrooms or meeting rooms, to lecture halls and conferencing suites; for entertainment and knowledge discovery in leisure and museum applications; and for messaging in retail signage. Its high brightness and powerful professional installation capabilities also enable creative deployments using pixel mapping.
